１．オンライン GPUハンズオン 10 Days のお知らせ

概要：
本イベントでは、科学技術シミュレーションなどの計算科学による研究や、機械
学習などのデータ駆動型の研究を支援するため、HPCとAIそれぞれのハンズオン
を実施し、本センターのスーパー コンピュータITOでGPU利用を体験していただき
ます。
期間中、ITOのGPU搭載ノードを無料でお使いいただけますので、GPUでの解決を
目指す課題をお持 ちの皆様は、OpenACCやCUDA、Deep Learning等の技術を駆
使して、その課題 の解決に取り組んでいただけます。
今のところ直面している課題が無くても、「自習としてハンズオンの復習をして理
解を深める」など、勉強を目的とした参加も歓迎します。
期間中、本センターの教員の他、GPUの高度なスキルを持った方々も、メンターと
して、オンライン会議や、Slackによる情報共有を通じて、参加者を支援します。

対象：
- GPUを使って、やってみたいことがある方を対象とします。
勉強、手持ちのプログラムの高速化、何かを試す、等、取り組む課題やプログラ
ムはご自分でご用意ください。

- 原則として、所属や身分は問いませんが、営利目的ではない課題での参加に限定
させていただきます。
- 基本的に 9/30、10/5、10/11のオンラインイベントにご参加いただきます。
- 外国籍の方、および海外在住の方のうち、ITOの利用アカウントをお持ちでない
方は、外為法関係の手続きに時間を要するためご参加いただけません。
- SSHでの九州大学の計算サーバへの遠隔ログイン、Microsoft Teamsでの Web会
議参加、および、Slackでの情報共有が可能なネットワーク環境からご参加くださ
い。

参加に当たって：
- スーパーコンピュータへのログインや、オンライン会議、Slack等への接続は、
基本的に参加者ご自身で行って頂きます。
- 接続に利用するPCの OSは、Windows, macOSのいずれでも構いません。
- お使いのPCは、事前に OSの最新のセキュリティアップデートを適用するとともに、
ウィルス対策ソフトウェアをインストールし、ウィルスを検索して問題
ないことを事前に確認してください。これらの対策が行われていないパソコンから
の参加は認めません。
- 本ハンズオンで利用して頂く計算機は、スーパーコンピュータ ITOのサブシステムB
と基本フロントエンドです。計算機の詳細は以下でご確認ください。
