Priority Support Service

The Research Institute for Information Technology of Kyushu University has established a "Priority Support System" to provide support for research and issues that cannot be accomplished under the current operational format due to resource limitations, such as easing restrictions on the number of nodes used and disk capacity, and providing usage support for special use cases that are difficult to handle under the usage plans provided.

    No specific additional fee is required for the application of this scheme.
    （A separate application for regular use (fee required) is required to obtain an account and use the resource.）

Application Procedure

  • After filling in the required information in the URL form below, please inform the contact address that you have applied for the Priority Support System.

  • The screening will be conducted by a screening committee set up by the Center.
  • It takes from two weeks up to one and a half months from application to start of use (dispatch of approval letter).
  • For the assessment, a detailed calculation plan is required that provides the basis on which the desired resource volumes are required.
    Please refer to the sample below and describe it in the research plan section.

    Example)
    It is assumed that XX cores (XX nodes) and XX GB of memory are used per calculation. In addition, the calculation time is XX hours per calculation, which is performed in XX parallel. This is repeated XX times to select XX patterns of candidates. This means that the computing resources required are about XX node hours product and the computing time is expected to be XX hours.

  • Please enter the results of your usage using the URL form below within one month after the end of the usage period.
