◆同時ジョブ投入数の制限値変更のお知らせ、ならびに適正な最長実行時間設定のお願い

平素より研究用計算機システムをご活用いただきありがとうございます。

スーパーコンピュータシステム玄界のノードグループBにおいて、
短時間に同じ利用者から大量のジョブが投入された場合に、
その後に投入される他の利用者のジョブ開始が大幅に遅れる事象がたびたび発生しております。
もちろん、ある程度の数のジョブを同時に投入するという利用方法自体に問題はありませんが、
過度な待ち時間の発生をできるだけ抑制するため、2026年6月22日～25日の保守作業後より、
リソースグループ b-batchへのユーザ当たり同時ジョブ投入数を 1000件以下に制限させていただきます。

On Node Group B of the Genkai supercomputer system, we have repeatedly observed cases where,
when a large number of jobs are submitted in a short period of time by the same user,
the start times of jobs submitted subsequently by other users are significantly delayed.
There is of course nothing inherently wrong with submitting a certain number of jobs concurrently,
but in order to reduce excessive wait times as much as possible,
we will, after the maintenance work scheduled for June 22–25, 2026,
impose a limit of 1,000 simultaneous jobs per user for the resource group “b-batch”.
We will consider imposing limits on other resource groups in the future as needed, based on the situation.
